Why Famora

A considerate, unhurried approach to family learning

Every detail of how we work is shaped around making participation feel comfortable and voluntary.

Purely Educational

Every session is framed as a learning space, not a counselling setting. No personal advice is given — just tools and knowledge you can apply as you see fit.

Flexible Pacing

Sessions are designed around Bangkok family schedules — available on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings, so participation fits around school and work.

Small Groups

Groups are kept intentionally small so each participant has room to reflect, ask questions, and engage with the material in a relaxed setting.

Take-Home Materials

Every programme includes printed or digital worksheets and templates, so the skills explored in sessions continue to be useful between meetings and long after.

Bangkok-Relevant Context

Content reflects common family patterns and communication norms in Thai urban contexts, making it easier to connect examples with real everyday situations.

Private Attendance

Participation details are kept discreet. Famora does not share attendance information and group sessions operate under a shared confidentiality understanding.

Common Questions

A few things people usually ask before joining

What exactly happens in a Family Communication Workshop?
The workshop is a small-group session lasting around three hours. A facilitator introduces topics such as active listening, expressing needs without blame, and navigating disagreement more calmly. Participants discuss general scenarios and try out short exercises together. Nothing personal is shared unless you choose to. You leave with a set of exercises to continue at home.
Do I need to attend with another family member?
Not at all. Each session is open to individuals attending on their own. Attending together with a partner or family member is also welcome, but it is entirely up to you. The content is designed to be useful whether one or more people from a family participate.
Is this a form of counselling or personal support?
No — Famora's programmes are educational, not a regulated personal support service. Facilitators share knowledge and communication frameworks, not personal recommendations or opinions about your family. If you're looking for individual professional support, we're happy to point you toward appropriate resources.
How long is the Co-Coordination Skills Programme?
The programme runs across four weekly sessions, each around two hours long. Between sessions, participants use shared templates and a simple planning guide to try out what they've learned. The pace is designed so that it fits comfortably alongside a working week or school schedule.
What is the Mediation-Support Information Session about?
This session explains in general terms how voluntary, structured mediation conversations tend to work — the steps involved, what preparation looks like, and how to approach these conversations calmly. It does not address any particular situation or outcome and is not a legal or professional service.
Are the sessions conducted in English?
Yes, all current sessions are facilitated in English. Materials are also provided in English. If you would like to know about future sessions in Thai, please mention it when you get in touch and we'll keep you informed.
How do I pay and what is the payment process?
Once you send an enquiry and confirm the session you'd like to join, we'll send details about the session date and payment options. Payment is accepted via bank transfer. Prices are listed in Thai Baht (฿). We'll always confirm availability before asking you to complete payment.
